Common Changes

Improvements

More stable Extension Install/Upgrade process

Previously there were a lot of improvements made to the Install/Upgrade processes in regard of stability. The main aspect which makes them unstable previously was executing of the database upgrade/installing several times at once that was caused by the working of several Magento administrators at once.

In the current 6.4.8 version this process was improved more and now the issues which used to arise earlier do not persist.

Prevention of the synchronization running in parallel when the M2E Pro Cron Service is running

Starting from 6.1.1 version M2E Pro uses its own Cron Service. It is a predefined free service from M2E Pro. The principle of its work is based on the regular requests to a particular end point in Extension with further run of synchronization tasks at the moment of this connection. It has a lot of benefits and resolves a lot of issues which occurred in case the synchronization is controlled by the Magento Cron.

However, in some rare cases (when the network connection is unstable or the router related issues arise), the symptoms of the synchronization executed in parallel might appear.

So, in the 6.4.8 version the mechanism which prevents this issue is implemented into M2E Pro. Thus, the synchronization process will be run correctly.

Fixes

Sometimes an error "Domain is invalid for this license" might be displayed incorrectly

Under certain circumstances, some users may detect that the error "Domain is invalid for this license" appears in their M2E Pro even if the domain is correct. It used to arise as a sequence of temporary Magento failures which caused an M2E Pro related issues.

Starting from 6.4.8 version the new functionality was implemented which guarantees protection from such issues.

Note: If you are currently experiencing this issue, you should follow these steps to solve it:

  • upgrade your M2E Pro to 6.4.8 version;
  • log into your Account on clients.m2epro.com;
  • press an Add New Extension Key button on the Extension Keys tab;
  • copy the newly generated License Key;
  • navigate to System > Configuration > M2E Pro > License section of your Magento where you should press Change button and paste newly created License Key.
Magento Order was not created when Quantity Reservation releasing does not revert the Product status back to In Stock

Previously, in case the Quantity Reservation took place and changed the Stock Status of the purchased Product to Out of Stock, in some specific cases, it might not be reverted back to In Stock when the Reserved Quantity is released.

In this version, this issue is fixed and no related issues are observed now.

Error "Unknown Product type" might arise during synchronization process

Sometimes the error "Unknown Product type" might arise when Magento Variational Product was removed from the Magento Catalog.

This problem is fixed and no related issues are observed in 6.4.8 version.

Note: The better choice is to remove Products which are listed to Channels from Magento Catalog only after they are completely inactivated and removed from Channels to prevent any further issues. Magento Product acts a source role for adding/updating Items on Channels and when it is removed from Magento Database, M2E Pro loses the source data for Items' management on Channels which might cause problems. That is why it is strongly recommended to Stop/Remove these Items from Channels and only after that remove the according Magento Products from Magento Catalog.

eBay Integration

Added
