Before starting to sell a Product on Amazon you need to know if it exists in the Amazon Catalog. Use the Search Tool to find out whether it is there. If the product is not found, you can create a new one.
Choose “List Item(s)” to start selling your product on Amazon.
List Action is used for adding a new item into your Amazon Seller Central:
- If ASIN/ISBN exists in Amazon Catalog, a new Item is added into your Inventory with reference to this ASIN/ISBN.
- If you create a new ASIN/ISBN, the ASIN/ISBN is added into Amazon Catalog; afterward, the item is added to your Amazon Inventory.
The data sent during List Action are generated on the basis of Policies and Listing Settings:
- Search Settings – provides information as for ASIN/ISBN, UPC/EAN, and sets additional search by Product Name.
- Selling Policy – provides information as for Item Price, Quantity, and Product SKU;
- Listing Settings - provides information as for Amazon SKU Settings, Condition, Production Time, Restock Date, Gift Settings, etc.
- Description Policy (is not obligatory for listing items that exist in Amazon Catalog) – provides information as for Title, Description, Images, Specifics, etc.
Note: In case you create a new ASIN/ISBN some fields of the Description Policy are required.
Some data of the Description Policy (e.g., Number of items, Package quantity) are sent on Amazon only once at the moment of creation of a new Item. Their properties cannot be edited.
Along with the manual list, you can use the automatic list. For that, you should set appropriate List Rules in the Synchronization Policy.
If List Conditions are met, M2E Pro will start listing Items with the status Not Listed automatically.
Important:
Once the Item is successfully listed its status changes to Active. Since this moment it is impossible to execute either automatic or manual list on it. This is because List Action implies adding an Item into your Amazon Inventory and it cannot be added more than once.
To update Product data you should use Relist or Revise actions depending on the Item Status.
