Product statuses
M2E Pro manages your products based on the synchronization settings you defined. Once a certain sync condition is met, a relevant action will be scheduled. The high-priority actions will be performed first. For example, an out-of-stock item will be stopped before the Module submits a new product to the Channel.
Let's see how a product status is changed during a synchronization.
Any new Magento Product added to M2E Pro will have the Not Listed status. An automatic List will be run once your List conditions are met. If your Listing Product meets Walmart requirements, it will be listed successfully.
A product that is in stock will have the Active status. The corresponding Walmart Item will be marked as Published. This means it is shown in the Walmart catalog and can be purchased.Â
If you list a product without inventory, it will have the Inactive status in a Listing grid. Walmart marks such items as Unpublished and hides them from their website. Buyers will not see your offer in the Walmart catalog until you restock the product.
Once you update the product quantity in Magento, M2E Pro will automatically update the corresponding Walmart Item. The product will become Active in M2E Pro and Published on the website.
If the Offer Start Date of a listed product is set to the one in the future, a Stage notice will appear next to this Listing Product. Walmart will not show your offer to the buyers until the Start Date is reached.
After a product is listed, the Module starts dynamically tracking all the changes made to the product in Magento store and on the Walmart website.
If a product price, quantity, or promotion details are changed, they will be automatically synchronized to the Walmart marketplace based on your Revise Rules. Product changes that are not covered by the automatic Revise Rules, e.g. Product Tax Code, Lag Time, Shipping, Description, Image, Category, etc. updates, can be submitted to the marketplace manually. Refer to this article for the details.
When at least one Stop condition is met, e.g. a product is out of stock, the Module will automatically stop the corresponding Walmart Item and marks it as Inactive. A stopped Listing Product can be reactivated on the Channel based on your Relist Rules, e.g. once a product is restocked it will be resubmitted to the Walmart marketplace.
When the action is already in progress, it cannot be interrupted. Yet, a scheduled action can be replaced with another action if necessary.
Manual action has a higher priority over the automatic one if they are launched at the same time. For example, an automatic Revise action will be replaced by a manual Stop action.
Please apply the manual synchronization actions only in case of extreme necessity. Instead, we highly recommend using the automatic sync mechanism. M2E Pro Synchronization Rules provide you with a precise, timely and reliable listing update.
If your product data does not meet the Marketplace rules, Walmart will deactivate your offer on the website, i.e. it will become Unpublished. In M2E Pro, you will see the Incomplete status next to the Listing Product:
Â
What to do if your product is Incomplete
Let's identify the most common reasons why a product has an Incomplete status and how to fix it.
Product details do not comply with Walmart requirements:
Walmart requires submitting the full product information when adding a new offer on their website, e.g. product description, category-based specifics, lag time and shipping information, etc. If some of the data is missing or is not valid, an error will be returned.
To fix the products, you need to complete the following steps:
adjust the invalid Magento Product parameters or related Policy settings;
using the filter Can be fixed, filter out the products in a Listing.
by applying the mass action Reset Incomplete Item(s), process selected products in bulk.
After the Reset action, M2E Pro will resubmit product details to the marketplace automatically. Once Walmart validates new product data, you can keep selling the corresponding Walmart Items.
Offer End Date has already passed:
In terms of Walmart, each offer on their website has a lifecycle defined by the offer’s Start and End Dates. If an offer is current, it is shown in the Walmart catalog and available for purchase. Once the End Date has passed, Walmart retires an offer, i.e. hides it from the website. If the offer is in Retired status for over a year, it will be archived.
M2E Pro will notify you when your offer End Date is passed by switching its status to the Incomplete. If you want to keep selling the item, you may fix it.
To do it, you need to complete the following steps:
in Selling Policy, update an Offer End Date to the one in the future or specify the Endless value for this option;
using the filter Can be fixed, filter out the relevant products in a Listing.
by applying the mass action Reset Incomplete Item(s), process selected products in bulk.
After the Reset action, M2E Pro will resubmit the new product information to the marketplace automatically. Once the changes are applied, the corresponding Walmart Items can be sold.
Product price does not meet Walmart Pricing Rules:
Walmart continuously moderates offer prices published on their website. There are two Pricing Rules each offer must comply with:
Price Parity Rule: your offer on Walmart has to come at a price not higher than the price you set for this item on other websites, including a shipping cost. Otherwise, Walmart will unpublish your offer.
Price Leadership Rule / Reasonable Price Not Satisfied: Walmart will also unpublish your offer if its price is higher than the price other sellers set for this item on competing websites, including a shipping cost.
In M2E Pro Listing, an item that violates Walmart Pricing Rules will be marked as Incomplete. This Listing Product does not require a reset, though you need to adjust its price. Once you update the product price, it will be synced to the Channel. The corresponding Walmart Item will become available for the buyers again.
